Suede Case with Wooden Button and Leather Cord

This suede case was made for the small digital cameras and iPods that were popular at the time. There aren’t many of these in the world — I think I made around four similar ones, but each one was a different size, so no two are exactly the same.

The camera case I gave to the shop manager seems to be working quite well, which makes me feel a little proud. And the one I gave to Nacchan in Thailand — if I remember correctly, that was the version with extra cushioning. I’d really love to hear feedback someday — what parts are inconvenient, what works well, or what feels cute about it.

As a bit of a button collector, I’m especially fond of the closure: a wooden button with a leather cord wrapped around it. It’s a small detail, but one that I really like.
