Handmade Travel Coin Case — Inspired by an Old Design

I wanted something I could take with me on a trip — a small, cute coin pouch. While looking at the coin pocket of a wallet I made a long time ago, I began to feel that its shape had a nice charm to it, so I decided to use that design as the basis for this new piece.
For the material, I used some saddle leather that my friend Noji gave me years ago, and a little of it was still left. It’s one of my favorite types of leather, because the more you use it, the more beautifully its color changes over time.
The process is very simple: cut six rectangular pieces of leather and glue them together. With a full day, even a beginner could easily make one. Also, I realized yesterday that there aren’t many people who share pattern templates for handmade leather wallets — so I decided that I’ll share my pattern as well.
