Black Bison Leather Tote (2007)

Some time ago, I made a tote bag from bison leather (a material very similar to cowhide). It has a simple, all-black design, and I based the size and proportions on the bag my mother uses most often — the one she finds easiest and most comfortable to carry.

The size is about 30 × 30 cm, with a gusset of around 10 cm. It looks well-balanced whether carried by hand or over the shoulder, and I’ve come to feel that this is probably the most practical size for an everyday tote bag.
