Arata’s Drawing

Children’s drawings are fascinating. You don’t always know what they were trying to depict, and even when you do, you can’t quite grasp how that image existed in their mind. Still, the way Arata moves his pen — as if he’s trying to bring something from inside himself into the world — is a joy to watch. Perhaps there is order in it, or perhaps it is pure chaos. That uncertainty is part of what makes it so wonderful.
