Wooden Deck with SPF Pine (2006)

I built a wooden deck using slightly thin pine lumber (SPF wood). I spent some time thinking about how to handle the air-conditioner wiring, and for now I decided to route it underneath the deck.

One of the unexpectedly challenging parts of the project was creating the space to place the outdoor unit. Since this was my first time trying something like this, there are areas I could improve, but overall I feel the result turned out fairly well.

From this experience, I realized that in situations where proper spacing can’t be secured, it may be better not to cut costs on materials and instead choose higher-quality wood from the beginning.
